Garmin/Palm PDA-GPS

Palminfocenter had this story about a product that will use Palm OS5 to run a PDA/GPS unit.

OK, I'm now officially excited. My m500 is toast and my Palm V is badly scratched. I was ready to buy a Titanium T. Now I can save my pennies...

I just see two problems right off the bat.

1. Its a Garmin.

2. Its Palm OS.

I only see one problem there, unless being a Garmin counts twice.

It could just as easily be a Magellan running PocketPC, but you'd need a 600 amp car battery to run it for four hours. The best thing about Garmin and Palm is that neither of them are located in Redmond.

Amen brother. I can take my GPSMap and my Palm, 4 batteries, and fresh legs, and they all run out about the same time after continual use.
