+Acc-Risk and Snarflax
I just came back from REI, and apparently, they're dropping the Magellan line (mine is at least...) and they're clearancing everything... I picked up Mapsend Streets for $10 (grabbed 2) A car adapter and data cable for $15 If you're looking for any Magellan accessories, you might wanna check it out... Contents Under Pressure... +Ma Bell
What's REI? I have a Map 330, will it be useless or will I be unable to find accessories? Also, do you have any recommendations on MUST HAVE equipment or accessories? Should I start panicking, and start planning how to sweet talk, bribe, blackmail, kidnap,....... MartinP for the use of his (now) in demand items? Too late, I'm already panicking! P.S. Thanks for the tip!!!! Quote Link to comment

+sledgehampster
Recreational Equipment, Inc. They are an internet store as well as having Brick and Mortar stores. I have seen them in Atlanta. Do a search and find the home page. From there you can search by zip code for local stores. Quote Link to comment
+Team MGGPS
I just checked the REI web site and they have Magellan Mapsend Topo but the price is alot more expensive than other places almost double. Quote Link to comment
+mikedx
Forgive this novice, but I don't see the problem, except that your favorite retailer is going to stop carrying the line. If I understand correctly, Magellan isn't going bust. I bought mine on ebay, and mom got hers from Amazon, so I don't see the reason for panic, except you have to find another store. PlaysByEar
Umm, yeah... nowhere was it implied Magellan was going out of business or anything. As for the REI website, I wouldn't necessarily expect to find the bargain prices there. Clearing shelf space at the brick & mortar stores would be the reason to lower the prices and move the stock off the shelves. I may have to go tomorrow and check it out! Thanks AR! Dale_Lynn
Web store does not reflect any savings.... Must only be Brick and Mortor stores. +Squirrel Nut & Beersnob
Sorry boys n' girls of Detroit, I just checked both brick and morter REIs, nothing in stock... I walk the Maze of Moments, but everywhere I turn to, begins a new beginning, but never finds a finish.. Quote Link to comment
