+winelegs Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Hello. I own numerous caches and I would like to receive an instant notification if someone DNFs one of my hides. Is this possible to set up? Quote

Is this possible to set up? Do you by chance mean you want like an instant notification on the app, or text? Not just an email notification? Quote

Is this possible to set up? Everything is possible, this is a digital world. Some players have instant notifications for new caches, this is almost as easy. Edited March 11 by arisoft Quote

+CAVinoGal Posted March 12 Posted March 12 You can set up a notification - go to the dashboard, and on the left side towards the bottom is "Set up notifications". That will bring you to a screen - you need to set up a separate notification for each cache type you want, but keep in mind, it will be DNF logs on ALL caches in your chosen radius, not just your own. And, as Barefootjeff pointed out, 18 hours ago, barefootjeff said: You should receive emails for all logs on your own caches, regardless of any instant notification settings. You DO receive email notifications for any activity on your owned caches, so this step would result in double notifications for your own, and likely a lot of unwanted notifications on every cache around you. I've set up a separate email account JUST for geocaching, and I've set it with a ringtone that I know is a geocaching email coming in. Yes, it is another email to check, but it does simplify things for me as far as geocaching stuff goes, as it's all in one place, separate from all the other stuff I get on my everyday email - the geocaching one is a lot less cluttered!! 1 Quote
