They did a great job addressing Geocachers' concerns.  This came out after the original App was canceled, a one-time purchase which showed the whole web site, a lot like what this thread is asking for.  Today, online Gaming Apps that you buy are unheard of.

Most I've seen have stayed PM for a few months but less than a year, so they're probably paying monthly until they decide to move on to the next fun thing and ditch caching.

They'll only receive an email notification from Message Centre if they've enabled that in their profile. As far as I know, it's disabled by default. Anyway, the ones who've signed up with a Facebook, Google or Apple account probably haven't even provided an email address. Communicating with such players is almost impossible.

"How to make geocaching better"

 A bit different than most comments but two things I'd like to see are; 1) adding "nano" as a size option and 2) bringing back the NGS benchmarks as part of geocaching.  I know, neither is a real big deal to most participants, but since you asked... my two cents
