New idea: should make an app for geocaching formus

There should be a mobile application for formus, because I think it would be really useful if we could either use a completely new app or make a section in the geocaching apo to posts formus instead of using the website. This is just an idea.

You have a choice from several browsers that do a fine job of reading web pages.

As there's a nice mobile version of the Forums, I don't think an app is needed.  I would like to see a link from the official apps, that would take the user to the Forums home page.  Something like:  "Got questions? Want to share a geocaching story?  Check out the Geocaching Forums."  This link would open in the user's default mobile browser.

 

This would hopefully increase traffic and allow the community (including me) to answer more questions and help more users, especially newbies.  Many users seem unaware that there's a geocaching website, let alone a discussion forum.

I find the forums on the phone via a browser to be adequate - no need for a separate app.  The forums are much more readable than the website itself on my phone...although I prefer to type on my laptop keyboard instead of the phone.  Reading the forum posts works well on the phone browser; replying and participating I prefer my laptop!!
