lalien Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 I'm trying to edit the description of my cache and I'm stuck. I click on edit in the admin tools and it takes me to the edit page, but there is a spinning green circle in the middle of the page that never goes away and as long as it's there I can't do anything. I tried it in Chrome and Edge and the same thing is happening in each. https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC3E522 Quote
Keystone Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Your cache, published in 2012, had a "short description" - a field that's no longer available for text entry by the cache owner. I edited the cache page for you to move the contents of the "short description" into the beginning of the "long description." Does this fix the problem for you? Quote
lalien Posted August 19, 2024 Author Posted August 19, 2024 No, I'm still getting the spinny green circle. Quote
+Viajero Perdido Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 (edited) Are you using a script blocker like NoScript? Try turning that off temporarily. Edited August 19, 2024 by Viajero Perdido Quote
lalien Posted August 19, 2024 Author Posted August 19, 2024 I don't think I am but I am on a work computer. I'll try again at home tonight on my personal computer Quote
lalien Posted August 19, 2024 Author Posted August 19, 2024 Hmm, just tried it on my phone connected to data and the same thing is happening. No script-blockers on that. Quote
lalien Posted August 20, 2024 Author Posted August 20, 2024 And I just tried at home and have the same issue. Anyone know how to fix this? Quote

I don't know if this will fix it but it's one more thing to try. Go to your profile page and enter some "Home Coordinates". Here is a link to the Help Center that explains how. Quote 1.6. Edit Home Location Next to your username in the top right corner, select the down arrow to select Settings. Select Home Location. Choose one of three options to set coordinates: Enter a street address. Enter coordinates. Drag the pin to a particular spot on the map. Tip: Your Home Location doesn't have to be your residence. You can choose a location that is within 2 or 3 miles (3 or 4 km). Quote
