Two Accounts; One AL App

I was out with my family yesterday and noticed that there was an AL where we were. I have the AL app on my phone; the others don't; none of us have unlimited data allowances so didn't know if the others could download the app at the time.

There were four of us. We all put in the effort to find the answers and all of us thus completed the AL.

With a standard cache, one person can carry the GPSr/phone and all can log the find later. My family has four geocachers: often one of us navigates to the cache; one keeps the cache page open; one interprets the hint; the other does the retrieval. Full logs can be uploaded once we've got home.

With the AdLab, however, it seems that although four of us did the walk and found the answers, I'm the only one who can claim the finds because I had the app open at the time. Is there a reason for this? It would be good if there were a way for the rest of the family, who did just as much work as I did, to also claim the find.

Am I missing something, or is it the case that for all four of us to 'find' the AdLab we'd all need to have the app open on our respective devices and go through the stages separately?

Is this something that will be addressed in the future? We can't be the only ones affected by this.

Thank you.

At least one other person can log the stages if they sign in on your phone.

Do you not see where this is going? One person has the AL app, everyone at the event gets to log a find on every location just because one person went to the stages? Where does it end?

Is this a common problem, or is it like voter fraud, i.e. a risk but a very small one?
With a standard cache anyone can say they've found it a upload a log, but in practice very few people do that because there's no point. The only people they're cheating are themselves, and most cachers have the sense to realise that.

Madness.  Chaos. Rage in the streets. Floods. Earthquakes. Men and beasts living together. Fire raining from the sky....
