Garmin Montana 680T not showing caches after 300meters

Hi All,

I've recently purchased another Garmin Montana 680T.

When use to load my filter from GSAK into the old 680T it would show all caches out to 2km on the screen.

I do exactly the same thing with the new 680T but it will only show caches out to 300m.

This is really bugging me. Does anyone know if there is a setting I need to change in the GPS to rectify this issue?

Setup --> Map --> Advanced --> Zoom Levels

Here you can change the zoom level for waypoints, geocaches, et cetera.

Yep, what StefandD said.  I have the 650T.  If you make the zoom level too high, when you zoom out to see a larger area, the geocache icons can fill up the entire screen.  It's usually just a one-time adjustment to find a zoom level you like.  Same thing for map's street detail... too much is not always a good thing.

Also, using 'smaller' geocache icons helps declutter the map and allows you to use higher zoom levels before the map is completely obfuscated.

Also, see this thread for a link to several custom icons. I personally use the small circles set.

Those look like the 'GPSrChive 14x' geocache symbols.

Yes, the square ones came from GPSrChive.
