With this feature, you can add or remove a Favorite point by tapping the heart icon below the “Navigate” and “Log” buttons on a cache details screen.

You can only award Favorite points on caches that you have logged as found, and only if you have available Favorite points.

Learn more about Favorite points.

I can really not see the point with this feature...... When I have found a cache and mark it as found in the app I also decide if it will get a favorite point or not. Why then have the ability to mark an already found cache much later on with a FP ? That decision is done when knowledge is fresh while logging the found. This one is not for me anyhow.

Yes thank you! This is a long needed feature since sometimes I forget to award a favorite point for a cache when logging and up until now the only way to add it would be to send another log or open in browser. Now it can all be done in app! Very nice experimental feature!

I am a fairly new cacher, but am really into this and know almost everything. For this feature, it helps you out really well. I don’t know why most people are looking on the downside, but what if you log a cache in the app and forget to add a favorite to it? With this it is simple. Thanks, GCHQ!

I like this feature as I often forget to add a favorite point if I get invested into writing the log.

That said, there should be a clearer visual indication that a favorite point is being added/removed, to avoid mis-taps.

There is a way to know. If the heart is green, you favorited the cache. If it is white, you didn’t favorite the cache. Simple.

The feature sounds to be useful as I sometimes forget to give a fav.

I just tried this new feature having version 8.50.0 (1) installed on my iOS 14.6 iPhone. Unfortunately it did not work. Tapping on the heart of an already found cache showed no reaction. I tried it for caches I had given a fav or not - no difference. Also logging off and on again did. not help.

You may need to update the app on iPhone. I have an iPhone and needed to update before doing this.

I would like to be able to add favorite points when I edit my logs. There isn't a way for me to do this using my Garmin Oregon 750, as far as I can tell, if I am submitting logs live from the field.

Great feature, comes in handy if you forget to add Fav during a found-it log.

My only suggestion is there should be a confirmation step to confirm the heart icon has not been tapped by mistake. Because you could potentially add/remove in error with the current version, for now I usually leave the feature switched off by default, then go into exp. features to momentarily enable if I ever need to add a Fav.

We are graduating this feature out of the Experimental features menu  to be a regular feature in the app. During this transition it's temporarily not available. You will be able to add/remove Favorite points from cache details again in next app version.
