+lilibet24 2 Posted November 23, 2020 A friend of mine has found a Mountain Warehouse trackable #MWGEOTRAIL. When she followed the instructions on it to log it at geocaching.com/track, not only did it require the number on it, which she supplied, but asked for an activation code which it said could be found on the packaging. She says there was no packaging and wondered what to do with it. If she puts in another cache the next person will have the same problem. Quote Share this post Link to post

I have just tried it on her behalf and get the message "Cannot activate. This trackable owned by someone else." Quote Share this post Link to post

Questions would be a bit easier if there wasn't a middleman ... I found eight trackables with MWGEOTRAIL as their name (and something else with it). Which is the one you/they have ? By "number", are you/they talking about the reference number, or the tracking code ? If it gets to be a bother (I'd be done already ;-), why not put it back into a cache ? Maybe the next person realizes the issue with it. Quote Share this post Link to post

OT but your name twigged one of my trivia memory cells. Was it Margaret's pet name for HRH? I seem to remember it from somewhere. Quote Share this post Link to post
