Hidden Waypoints?

1. What are hidden waypoints?

2. Why don't they show up when you are doing the ground work for the new cache?

3. Why can't I hide a cache near one?

Sorry if I'm being repetitive.

1. Stages of other caches.

2. Because they belong to Multis, Mysteries, etc. from those, only the Published Coordinates will show up, but they may have several stages.

3. The guidelines say that we need to place our new cache a given distance apart from physical stages of other caches.

See here, please.

So, I hid my first geocache without much trouble :D. But my second one is kicking my hind end because of hidden waypoints to another geocache?

1 - Hidden waypoints are often stages within multi or mystery caches.

2 - If they "showed up" every time you attempted a spot, you'd have an easy means of completing a multi, not available to others.

 - Think of the game "battleship".    ;)

2 - If they're physical stages, you still need to stay 528' away, just like it was a traditional cache.

The helpful link to the Help Center that RuideAlmeida supplied even says, "Solve nearby geocaches, including Mystery and Multi-Caches, to discover hidden stages. If you see a Mystery Cache with posted (bogus) coordinates within 2 miles of your proposed location, its final stage may be nearby. Many Multi-Caches also start and finish in the same area."   :)

You can, as long as it's 528 ft away.

Because revealing the final coordinates would defeat the purpose of multi caches and puzzle caches, etc.
