rusty_da_dog
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good Caches in Tennessee along I-40 (5 miles or so off is fine) I am going to be going to Bristol in March and want to do a little caching along the way. Thanks, Rusty RW Da Man!!! CHS#1 Quote Link to comment
bitbrain
Jump off I-40 in Memphis & check out some of the caches in Shelby Farms. You'll have your choice of Micros, Regulars & a Multi. Everything from Park & Grab to 3+ mile hike. Quote Link to comment
CWL
This one is at a rest stop on I-40. Its an easy 15 min stop and go. Quote Link to comment
CWL
You can always use the TN State Map to see all the cache locations on a map and click to see the names... Quote Link to comment
CWL
If you're comming from TX, theres a few at rest stops in AR just before you get to Memphis that are at rest stops... One, Two, Three, and Four. Two of them are on the Westbound side though... Quote Link to comment

rusty_da_dog
I was looking for caches further into TN than Memphis. Since I am in Texarkana and have family in Central Arkansas I am planning a trip over across the river once it warms up some. Thanks though, I appreciate it and I will add these to my list of must hits when I head that way. Thanks, Rusty RW Da Man!!! CHS#1 Quote Link to comment
MountainMudbug
Knoxville is about 120 miles SW of Bristol on I-40. There are a few caches along the Knoxville 40 corridor that are pretty close and easy, seem to get the pass-by cachers regularly. Knights inn the Woods Walker Springs Easy Cache Office Space We have one almost ready to plant that will be very close to I-40 but I don't know if it'll be out by March, we're fussing over details and different opinions I'll post it here if we finish it soon. ______________________________________________________________________ Remember that happiness is a way of travel, not a destination. - Roy M. +worldtraveler
...but I enjoyed OFFICE SPACE when I found it late last January. From the logs, it looks like it has stayed active. The most recent find logged was 01 Feb. It's easily accessible from I-40. Traveling from the west, take exit 398. You can get back on at exit 402. Worldtraveler Quote Link to comment

rusty_da_dog
I enjoyed Office Space last May on the way to Charlotte for the Coke 600. It would be nice to revisit. I have also hit several around Knoxville that were really good also. Thanks for everyones suggestions, I look forward to more in preparations for my trip. Rusty RW Da Man!!! +bitbrain
Uh-oh... Those cachecrazies are on to me... I still need to head up to their neck of the woods & knock out all those Ozark caches. Maybe I'll get SpongeChuck to go, too. It'll be fun to watch him bee-line to a cache in the hills. heh heh heh Oh, crazies, I didn't even mention "Bitbrain's First". Wait til y'all get back over here & try for the 4x4 Offroad Adventure. Quote Link to comment
