tusi79 Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Hi! I just solved my first Wherigo cache. I used WhereYouGo app on my android. Now I want to unlock the cartridge on www.Wherigo.com. One of the options is to upload the save game file (link), which should be *.GWS. Android saves it as *.OWS. Anyone has an idea, how to unlock the cartridge? Thanks, tusi79 Quote

+coachstahly Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Did you receive a completion code containing 15-16 numbers/letters? You only need the first 15 (I have NO idea why it occasionally spits out 16). If you have that code, that's the easiest way to unlock the cartridge. Check your inventory in the saved cartridge to see if it's in there. Quote
+Kalkendotters Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 There are 2 options to unlock a Wherigo cartridge: 1) upload a .gws file; this file can only be created by the original Wherigo player for pocketpc (=windows mobile) 2) enter the unlockcode for the cartridge. This should be displayed in the player after you have finished the cartridge But there is not really any need to unlock a cartridge, since it will do not very much: -set an indicator on the Wherigo page that you have 'completed' it - the only indication is the number of 'completions' on the Wherigo-page There is no list of completed Wherigo, nor can you filter on it in the search Quote

You don't need to enter a completion code to FIND the cache. The only requirement to find the cache is to sign the physical log. 1 Quote
