+Wa wa
Hi I had problems using the Wherigo builder with my 64 bit PC as despite following the posts and installing the patches i could never get it, or the maps to work and got multiple error messages So I tried and built a cartridge using an alternative mentioned on the forums called urwigo The cartridge works perfectly in the emulator It is saved as a .gwc file for pocket pc devices However when I downloaded it do test it for real my Whereyougo app on my phone isnt seeing it Is there any bright sparks out there who used Urwigo and can tell me what to do next or how to get it into the format needed? There doesnt seem to be tutorials in english , I tried looking at a few in languages I dont speak ( just I'm that desperate) needless to say Im still baffled I'd be very grateful if anyone can help Laura Quote Link to comment
+charlenni
Laura, again, some more informations would be good. Where did you download the GWC file? WhereYouGo use a directory, where it looks for cartridges. You should store your GWC file in this directory. If it isn't there, you wouldn't see it in WhereYouGo. Quote Link to comment

I would make sure you have the file in the correct folder. Quote Link to comment
+Forest-Ghost
Hi, Just to check, are you trying to upload the gwc file directly from urwigo to your smart phone device? If so this will not work. In order to play the cartridge, it needs to be uploaded to Wherigo.com and then downloaded from Wherigo.com to your smart phone device. Other wise the cartridge will not work. I have had this same problem. Quote Link to comment
+charlenni
This isn't correct. You could upload the GEC file direct to your smartphone. You don't need an up-/download to www.Wherigo.com. The only problem is, that you use the correct folder on your smartphone. Quote Link to comment
+Wa wa
Hi there, Great to get some suggestions thanks. I did move the file to the correct folder in the Whereyougo app . It is a Wherigo as pocketpc.gwc and I can see it along with other files that play .the other files have an extension .ows.bak. When I open the WhereYouGo app and try to play it nothing happens.I cannot see the file. I also tried the suggestion by Forest Ghost. I tried to upload the Wherigo project on here http://www.Wherigo.com/cartridge/compile.aspx and to convert it to a pocket pc GWC file but I got an error message saying Server was unable to process request. ---> Wrong Local header signature: 0x3CBFBBEF I don't really understand the steps to advance a urwigo file that plays in the emulator to a file that will play on my android phone so I can test it. K-and-K
Might be able to work on the problem with you, as I am working with the urwigo software on a windows 8.1 Surface Pro II, with many apprentice hours. Quote Link to comment
+Sherminator18
Glad you got the problem fixed. I have an iPhone, so I am pretty unfamiliar with the WhereYouGo app. I have been able to save my cartridge as a .gwc file and upload that you the Wherigo app for iOS and it ran normally. I was able to test my cartridges out in the field this way. Quote Link to comment
