  1. This worked for me I had the same issue, thanks so much
  2. I Created a Wherigo using Urwigo in 2016 called A Fairy needs your help https://coord.info/GC6NFR0. Just like the fairy I need some advice now to activate this cartridge on a different platform. The cartridge was uploaded on the Wherigo foundation website and is working perfectly. Yesterday I got a message from HQ saying “It was brought to our attention that the cartridge required to play this Wherigo Cache is not uploaded on Wherigo.com but on an alternative platform. This does not meet the Wherigo Cache guidelines. Please upload the cartridge on the correct platform. Thank you for your understanding.” Now I spent yesterday trying to upload the cartridge to Wherigo.com. I get an error message when it comes to activating the cartridge that says: “An Error Has Occurred Your request has resulted in an error. Please return to this site's home page to continue.” I don’t have any more information about why this error is occurring and am stuck in a loop. So I can see the cartridge has been uplpaded a few times when I check under my profile it’s there, as you can see in the image below.. However I cant activate it. I’ve tried with the source code, the lua file, zipped files, unzipped files and I get the same error message Is this happening because I used Urwigo, is that why the file is not compatible? Can anyone please offer some advice that would allow me to activate the file on Wherigo.com? I am not the most technical of people and would really appreciate some help.It would be a shame if a working Wherigo gets the chop as its not on the right platform Kind Regards Laura
  3. Right clever folks I've invested hours in getting to this point of compiling a cartridge with the Urwigo . It plays perfectly in the emulator. But I cannot upload it or test it the cartridge as I cannot compile it. So I have another hurdle to pass before I can test the cartridge in the field I'm very close to finalizing and I need your help please When I use http://www.Wherigo.com/cartridge/compile.aspx to compile the cartridge I get an error message saying: Server was unable to process request ...Wrong local header signature :0x3CBFBBEF When I use the internal urwigo option: Build Run Default encoding (no special character) pocket pc I get a different one. It says Error while compiling the cartridge . Server returned an invalid SOAP Fault. Please see InnerException for more details So once again I'm stuck Any suggestions please Laura
  4. Thanks Ranger Fox ! Its brilliant to get some help You are right I am using Urwigo I am making progress I have a question about your comment about proximity/distance making it compatible to Garmins? Is there some functions that will work if the file is saved as a pocket pc device and used on a phone that wont work on a Garmin? What changes do I need to make to the cartridge to make it usable on the different devices if any? Do I need to upload different catridge files like for instance a pocket pc type and another for Garmins or do I use the "All devices" option? Kind regards Laura
  5. Hi Ranger Fox How do I use the zones exit to make the task invisible? You have hit the nail on the head with your comment I dont want all zones to be visible all of the time. I would like the tasks to be visible only in certain zones When I am looking at Tasks in the Properties section of the task I have these options Active Complete and Correctness Then in the Events section I have On active change :handled On Complete change On correct chng and On click I dont understand how to make the Task invisible once I have left a zone, or just visible when in the zone. I can make the tasks visible or invisible generally but not in zones. Could you give me some steps please. Thanks Laura
  6. Hi there I am using Urwigo to create my first cartrige. I have a number of zones set up. I am trying to set up a task so that when you are in the first zone zone it tells you where to go next and once you have left the zone the message disappears. Additionally I would love it if I could give a distance countdown to the next zone without revealing all of the upcoming zones. I have looked on youtube and even tried googling videos in other languages as there is very little in English. Is there any advice you can give me please? Laura
  7. Hi there I am building a cartridge and am trying to set up a task. Ideally the first task should pop up in the first zone and be only visible there. I do not want it to be visible in other zones. The first task should direct the player to the next zone. Once in the second zone a new task should appear and the original task disappear. I have tried setting this up . I seem to be able to set up a task but unable to limit it to only one zone. Is there a way to do this . Secondly is there a way to give a distance countdown to the next zone while you are between zones and not to have the locations for all zones visible simultaneously, so that the next place you need to go only gets revealed when you are close? Please help Laura
  8. Hi I managed to fix it, I had to unistall the Whereyougo app and ensure it was linked to the correct folder as it seemed to have linked itself to another one Thanks for all the suggestions Laura
  9. Hi Its fixed It was to do with the way the WhereYouGo app looked for the files, I unistalled it and reinstalled it and made sure it was linking to the correct folder and now I can see it Thanks for the help Laura
  10. Hi Dirk I started again and I now have a urwigo cartridge that plays in the emulator. I tried to compile the cartridge as a Pocket Pc file and saved it in the WhereYouGo folder where my other files are . The app is not recognising the file despite it being in the correct folder. When I open the app and click start and the "choose cartridg"e option comes up I cannot see the file. I would like to test it in the field and was wondering how you get the file to play. I hope I have given you enough info. Laura
  11. Hi there, Great to get some suggestions thanks. I did move the file to the correct folder in the Whereyougo app . It is a Wherigo as pocketpc.gwc and I can see it along with other files that play .the other files have an extension .ows.bak. When I open the WhereYouGo app and try to play it nothing happens.I cannot see the file. I also tried the suggestion by Forest Ghost. I tried to upload the Wherigo project on here http://www.Wherigo.com/cartridge/compile.aspx and to convert it to a pocket pc GWC file but I got an error message saying Server was unable to process request. ---> Wrong Local header signature: 0x3CBFBBEF I don't really understand the steps to advance a urwigo file that plays in the emulator to a file that will play on my android phone so I can test it. Laura

  17. Hi I am hoping to create a cartridge and have looked at the tutorials I use Windows 10 which is not listed as being compatible with the Wherigo builder But I tried it anyway. 18. Hi there, I use both my phone ( a Saumsung mini s4) using offline lists and a Garmin Etrex 10 to geocatch. Lately the icons have only being showing up on my offline lists on my phone intermittently when I am using the "My location" blue dot to see where I am in relation to the cache when in maps. While the blue dot showing my location does not vanish often the icons do, and I have to start back from scratch, opening the offline list, expanding it , looking for my location and only sometimes do the geocatch icons show or remain on show. Could it be that I have too many icons on the list or does anyone have any suggestions or have experience this? Please help thanks Laura aka Wa Was
