Roelwin
I bought a trackable sticker for a car a while ago. Now I don't want it on my car anymore, but I would like to use TB code for a trackable item which goes from cache to cache. The problem is, I do not have a dogtag for it. Do you have any tips on how I could create the best alternative for a real dogtag? Quote Link to comment
cerberus1
Google "travel bug proxies", which will be similar. Quote Link to comment
cerberus1
You can burn the code into wood, embroider it onto fabrics, just limited by your imagination. - The issue is, without a dog tag, will someone know what it is... Quote Link to comment
kunarion
I bought a trackable sticker for a car a while ago. Do you have any tips on how I could create the best alternative for a real dogtag? The best alternatives may be travel bug replacement tags, which you can google (also look for "proxy" tags as mentioned) which range in price from free to... not free. But if you make it yourself, be sure it's built to last, and that a finder can immediately tell what it is (a "Travel Bug"). Otherwise, they will soon be here in the Forum, too. "I found this thing and the numbers are hard to read. Is it a Trackable or not?", and we all get to guess. Edited May 3, 2015 by kunarion Quote Link to comment

fuzziebear3
I find that a laminated tag works wonders. It is durable enough, easy to read, and has some basic instructions. Quote Link to comment
