How do I Un-Archive a post of a trackable log?

I dropped off a trackable at a new cache location. I added an image. Then I wanted to edit my post. I couldn't find out a way to do that, so I thought I would just delete (archive) the post and re-enter it. Once I archived it, I was not able to re-enter the information without entering the trackable code (I didn't write down the code from the back of the trackable before I dropped it off). I'd just like to un-archive my post, even though it contains an error, so the trackable will show that I dropped it off in the new location and not just in that cache's inventory. Thanks.

I do not think that you can un-archive. That is an administrative function that we cannot perform.

A moderator *MAY* be able to (not really a mod function, though);

Your reviewer *PROBABLY* can;

GS headquarters WILL be able to.

You can, however, post a note on the trackable page simply noting that you placed that trackable in the cache (ID# and name), maybe with a short explanation simply stating that the log was deleted by accident.

As you have noticed, the trackable stays even though you had deleted the log.

Thanks Keystone! I hope it works. The number is TB3Y71V - Cachekinz -GrinseKatze. It does show up in the inventory of GC3M1YW - Arcue's TB Hotel. When I posted, I said that it was between Illinois and Indiana...it was actually between Illinois and Iowa. I know the Mississippi doesn't run between Illinois and Indiana but after so many days on the road (driving from the West Coast to the East Coast, dodging all sorts of weather, I made the error.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will work. I did post a note on the TB page...

I was able to restore your archived log. Any Community Volunteer Reviewer is able to assist with such requests, but it is not a part of their official job description. As a backup, you can ask for help from Eartha, the Travel Bug forum moderator, or from Geocaching HQ via email in the Help Center.
