Trackable collecting Dust

I am new at this and have a question. I have placed a trackable in each of my Caches. (2 total). Have had a lot of people find the cache and sign my book but no one wants to take the trackable. Is this common?

Have you checked the caches to be sure the trackables are still there? What is all too common is people taking them and never logging them.

Edited after looking up OP's caches: ??????????????

Yep checked both caches.

In one you have dropped off two TB's. As stated this has had one visit since. They didn't appear to have taken any but may have and yet to log it out.

The other has a TB in it but you have had no visits since you did that.

Just the way it goes dude. See you in a month when your here saying they have been taken and the taker won't respond to emails and won't put them out.

3.6. Logging My Own Geocache

[update 16 October 2012]

Can I log a find on my own geocache? What about when I go back to visit?

It is considered "bad form" to log a find on your own geocache, no matter when you do it.

The same is true if you re-visit a geocache (for example to place or retrieve a travel bug).

Use the "post a note" log option to record your visit in these circumstances.

In either case, you're not "finding" a geocache because you already know where it is. Save the smiley face for use when you've truly discovered a hidden geocache.
