+RosieR45
Hi all! So on my geocaching app when I am scrolling down on the main page and there are symbols of the type of cache next to each title (Multi, traditional, ETC) there is one that is a question mark. What does that stand for? Happy Caching, The Cache Robber Quote Link to comment
+TriciaG
Mystery/Unknown They're often puzzle caches or challenge caches (i.e. you must complete some sort of challenge in addition to finding it, to log it as found) Look at a few of the descriptions, and you'll get an idea what they are. Pup Patrol
Here's a list of all the cache types. Thank you. I was trying to find that page in the Help Center. One would think that it would be in the "Finding a Geocache" - Geocaching 101 section. B. Quote Link to comment

Help Center → Finding a Geocache → Geocaching 101 → What is geocaching? 1.1. What is geocaching? http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=537 The second paragraph has the word "geocaches" as a link to http://www.geocaching.com/about/cache_types.aspx Silly me, looking for a Help Center article clearly titled "Are there different types of caches". Thanks, folks. B. Quote Link to comment

But that's another discussion in the bugs/features forum. Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
There are times I struggle to find something in the Help Centre... And I know what I'm looking for! Makes you wonder how a newbie is supposed to find anything. Tell me about it! I'm pretty sure I've posted the link to "types of geocaches" in the past, but today was a complete waste of time. I tried doing a search in the Help Center for "types", etc. Got a lot of info about....phone apps. The Help Center seems to get re-organized on a regular basis. It's gotten extremely difficult to find things that were easy to find previously. And I've spent a lot of time mucking about in there. To my way of thinking, there should never, ever be a section in a Help Center titled "Other". Other??????????? Ugh, such a wondrous bit of effort has been mungled. (Is that a word?) B. Give a person a fish, and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to fish, and you feed them for a lifetime. [/Quote] Of course, if you're posting, why not do both?! (Wow - why didn't I think of that??!!!) Quote Link to comment
