+Metro2
I'm the only active officer in the Exact Replicas category...and I have about 15 submissions waiting for approval....some for 4 months or so. I have written all the other officers at least twice without any response. I notified Checkmark twice (the last time was a week ago) about the non-responsiveness of the other officers without any response. What do I do now? Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Posting here is a start! Could be time for a new leader, at least. Start promoting officers, demote those already in that haven't logged in. Can you email other members of the group, to see if any want to volunteer as officers? They could be the ones to promote first. What 'Privileges/Permissions' does your rank as officer give you? Quote Link to comment

Doesn't the leader of the category have to initiate that? And doesn't it take a vote? How can you have a vote if I'm the only one who participates? I don't know...I'm just asking. I have no idea how to do that. Quote Link to comment
+Metro2
By the way...some of the other officers are still active in Waymarking...just not active in the Exact Replicas category. The leader, however, hasn't logged on for over a year. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
I'm sure others that are better 'in the know' will be along to help. But, something to think about... How can I promote/demote the other officers? Doesn't the leader of the category have to initiate that? And doesn't it take a vote? How can you have a vote if I'm the only one who participates? I don't know...I'm just asking. I have no idea how to do that. Group page, under members. Click on the profile. At the bottom there's Demote this member (66% officer vote required) for officers, and Demote this member (100% officer vote required) for the leader... It would seem to be the % of voters, NOT the % of members of the group. Time the vote right, you could get a major coup out of it! IF the leader is demoted, the next officer on the list becomes leader. (May not be what you want!) This was discussed in a thread, but can I find it? Be aware if the group goes below a certain number (3?) it gets into trouble for not having enough members. It could be that with a few more willing officers, those that are in, may be happier to remove themselves? Wait and see what others suggest. Well, the vote won't work since I am the only person participating in the category...so, the 66% and 100% threshhold would never be reached. Quote Link to comment

+lumbricus
I thought I saw "something, somewhere" that said Checkmark had RETIRED. That's right, that was me, Checkmark retired and Waywizard is the right person to contact. Quote Link to comment

That's not right Ed. You can easily promote a new officer. As example you can promote me, than you vote with Yea, after that you have to wait 3 days, go to the group page again, free the pending vote and you got me promoted (What counts are the voters, if only you vote you have a 100% Yea vote). After that we promote another officer. If we are three active officers we demote the other inactive officers and after that we get easily the 100% vote for the leader. Quote Link to comment

Don't want to be an officer in another category, but happy to join, to be the third officer, to help sort this out. (IF needed! ) Quote Link to comment
+Metro2
ok...I just put out a vote to demote the leader and votes to promote lumbricus, Bear and Ragged...and Outspoken. So...if you need 100% to depose the leader.... is that 100% of those voting or 100% of all category members? I assume it must be of those voting...otherwise you would never be able to depose a unresponsive leader, right? Edited July 23, 2014 by Metro2 Quote Link to comment

+fi67
You need 100% of the officers. The leader himself does not count, because he is the subject of the vote. Quote Link to comment
+lumbricus
Interesting. Now the open enrollment is Off. It seems the leader don't like these votes. Quote Link to comment

The other two haven't logged in. (Yet) We will have to see how the vote goes... Any waymarks being sorted by the leader? Edited July 24, 2014 by Bear and Ragged Quote Link to comment

No need to hurry, let's wait for the voting results. Just check into the group after 3 days and we know more. If the leader voted with Nay and doesn't approve your Waymarks Waywizard will intervene pretty fast. Quote Link to comment

Country_Wife
Since WayWizard is the go-to guy now for stuck waymarks, perhaps this sticky could be updated to reflect that? http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=307998 Quote Link to comment
