Cache_n_grab
Just would like to put a question out there. Does anyone have any caches that they would like to recommend. In particular around the Edmonton AB area? But any recommendations would be welcome. Cool hides, or containers. Quote Link to comment
Viajero Perdido
This trick works anywhere. If you do a search in your (our) area, then click the little badge icon (favorites), it'll sort by favorite points. Those are generally the recommendable ones. Here's a handy link for Edmonton: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?lat=53.55583&lng=-113.55735&dist=12.5&sortdir=desc&sort=fav Quote Link to comment
T.D.M.22
There's the cache by Lee Valley Hardware. Nothing special, but it's an excuse to go there. And while you're there youngster as well go in- plenty of stuff we cachers could use. Quote Link to comment

Viajero Perdido
Shucks, thanks. More generally, anything by hansk, Janski (aka Sigshark), or grandpaloren (RIP) are good bets for unusual and creative hides - in addition to what you see via the most-favorites search above. Quote Link to comment
mwellman
The two oldest caches in Alberta are not far away in the Strathcona Wilderness area - GCA6 November 4, 2000 aptly named Strathcona Wilderness 1and 2. Edmonton's oldest is Fire's wagon walk, Feb 2001, in the MacTaggart Sanctuary with lots of other caches to find on the way. And don't forget about jbeck2, the newbie geocacher! Unique may not be the right word. Geocaches are abundant in Edmonton, just pick a park or valley and go. The surrounding cities/towns are fun, too. There is a monthly supper, too.
