+Smepster+Darcy
I have just purchased a Garmin 62s which I am very happy with. I am just wondering how to upload multiple caches onto my device. I have just tried to add a PQ but it doesn't seem to be working for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment

+Gitchee-Gummee
"...doesn't seem to be working for me." is a bit vague. Folks here are pretty knowledgeable, but specifics help. Is it that you cannot seem to create a PQ? Download the PQ data? Load the data to the unit? Perhaps something other than those problems? Quote Link to comment
+Smepster+Darcy
I can create the PQ, but after that I struggle. As is stands at the moment, every cache I try and find I have been adding one at a time. I would love to be able to upload the closest 1000 caches to me. I have 64gb card onboard but just don't know how to get the PQ's on there. Quote Link to comment

Read and follow the directions from the link provided by BandR: http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/paperless.html#whatis . At the bottom of that page, select the info for Garmin. Is a good tutorial. Quote Link to comment

+Graculus
This is a direct link to the document I wrote (which the others have referred to above). It's a PDF document that will open with Adobe Reader on your PC. It explains how to do the PQ and then transfer the files to the Garmin GPS (any model). http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/files/paperless_garmin.pdf Chris Graculus Volunteer UK Reviewer for geocaching.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- UK Geocaching Wiki Geocaching.com Help Center UK Geocaching Information & Resources website Quote Link to comment
+NanCycle
I know I am a noob but I would love some help. You have come to the right place. Don't think you are being brushed off because you're given links to instructions instead of actual specific answers. You haven't been specific enough in your questions for anyone to provide specific answers. Read the instructions, follow them step by step, and if you still can't get the results you want, at least you should have gained enough knowledge to ask a question that can be answered. Usual problems with a PQ are: Have you selected "Day To Run"? Are there any caches IN the PQ? (The search page will tell you how many caches there are in the PQ) Have you downloaded it, either from the email, or the 2nd tab on the PQ page? http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/ Have you unzipped the file? +popokiiti
I still haven't mastered PQs, and I may never as I feel so useless with technology! You are younger than me, so you'll get it, I'm sure. The 62s is a lovely unit...I like mine a lot. All the best with the PQs. Quote Link to comment
+luvvinbird
I'm not a techno-wizard by any means but I enjoy taking advantage of the PQ feature offered to PM's. I thought it was a little overwhelming at first but it's really quite easy. If I'm planning a weekend visit with my daughter who lives in another city, I'll create my PQ on a Thursday and have it run on the Friday. Take the time to read over the various settings that you would like to have and check each box accordingly. you'll have a chance to re-check and change any setting before submitting. On Friday, I'll have received the PQ via e-mail and I'll copy/paste the zip files directly into my Garmin's GPX folder. Simple, works great. Quote Link to comment
