BarrientosBunch
We found a personalized geocaching coin today. Now husband has the geocaching bug and wants to get our own coins that we can leave at our "found" sites. Where do you purchase/order the personalized coins? This one was white plastic with blue writing, on the reverse was the geocaching symbol. Thanks!! Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
It's a 'signature item' -- not a geocoin. Geocoins display a tracking number (needed to log) and usually "Trackable at geocaching.com" or something quite similar. Signature items (Sig Items) are items personalized for one's use... not unlike a calling card. Some are very fancy; in metal, plastic, wood or even other materials. They are not trackable on-site. Google search "geocaching signature items" and see what kinds of things pop up. Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
I've seen personalized tokens made from wood, plastic, and metal. Some have created it themselves, using either a rubber stamp on wooden coins or Avery labels on poker chips. You can search for "wooden nickels" or "poker chips" either in the forums here or on Google (I don't have personal experience so I can't recommend any particular vendor). Quote Link to comment
+WarNinjas
We had some personalized buttons made. Now other cachers in the area have as well. http://justbuttons.org/ I think this is the ones we used to create them. Quote Link to comment
