Are you using IE11? If so there appear to be issues with the plug in. See http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=317129

I AM ON WINDOWS 7 BEEN ON THIS FOR FOUR YEARS

A MOUNTH AGO IT WORK NOW ITS NOT WORKING

Don't be so quick to yell at sussamb. I have windows 7 on a laptop and it's most recent update included Internet Explorer 11. IE 11 is the problem. If your PC updates automatically, it may have included IE 11. We're only trying to help.

Read this link from the Groundspeak Help Center. It may shed light on the issue:

Good Luck :)

I'm not sure how the link is going to shed any light on the problem as it discusses issues with the web site and compatibility with old browsers. The OP is having a problem with a Garmin product. That would be two different issues that just happen to be browser related. The irony is that one is because the browser is too old, the other because the browser is too new.

hi

I am having trouble try to put caches in my garmin gps unit

it says garmin communicator plugin not detected

I re down load it still says it I never had this problem for

what should I do

need help

I had that problem a while back... til I noticed I was downloading the 'installer' but not running it.

Cleared out 4 copies of the 'installer' and started again making sure it ran that time... Not IE11 though.

But it has happened with other downloads when using IE in the past... something about my settings or something.

Like I said when run it worked fine.

I didn't see this post, so I have started a new thread.. Basically

my solution was to run the GC.com page in Compatibility Mode...

Selected from Tools on the top RHS.
