Are we not missing the point... He requires a GPS that will allow him to find a manhole cover... Unless there are two or more manhole covers at his GZ then any of the modern GPSs will be suitable, especially the latest Glonass enabled units. Its all right being ultra precise if the person who is next to find the Manhole cover is using the same equipment as yourself, but spending 10 x £5000 is a bit different to buying 10 £120 units.

Hi... After my computer upgraded its MS software, I was unable to load the GPS with cache details. It just said 'Garmin Communicator Plugin Not Detected'. I tried all sort of fixes... Enabling Active X controls and the like, but that did not fix it. What did fix it (for a short time) was 'Restoring' the computer to a past restore point. However as the computer caught up, the fault re-emerged. My final fix was to run the GC.com page in 'Compatibility Mode' (from the tools icon (top RHS.)) This has fixed the problem, but means the map zooming now has to be done with the mouse wheel. Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.
