phat.bak
I am trying to locate one of my wayward TB's called Johnnie's Dollar. It was picked up in a Georgia cache called Tool Time by a cacher named micahman on August 7. He stated that he would bring it back to Omaha and put it in a cache there. He became a member that same day to log his only 'find' and last visited the site the next day, Aug.8. I have emailed him several times with no answer. Does anyone in/around Omaha know of a 'micahman' and/or how to get in touch with him? Quote Link to comment
carleenp
Never heard of him, but I'll keep my eyes open for him! Quote Link to comment
The Shorts
I keep my eyes out for the newbies in the area and I have not heard of him either. If I see the bug or him I will let you know. I hate it when bugs get hijacked. Quote Link to comment
bigredmed
Haven't seen any posts from him or logs on the caches I have hunted. I will keep an eye out for him. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nebraskache/ Quote Link to comment
DBleess
Write it off, something very similar happened to Chip. http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=21851 SA / PP-ASEL-I / Yahoo "SphinxXXVII" / ICQ 1916574 Quote Link to comment
phat.bak
Thanx, guys for your input. I guess I should just write it off and if it mysteriously reappears, I'll be happy. Keep yours eyes open, tho. Quote Link to comment
Cave Rat
Why not just log on and grab it back--Then if it shows up and someone tries to log it they can not make use of it because you have the number and it is your property? Travel Bug # never die! save it a couple of years see how many come back home Quote Link to comment
phat.bak
Good idea. I think I'll grab it back and maybe resend it out again with the 'Copy' tag that came with the original. I won't have the original Dollar, but I can easily put another in a bottle and start over. It was the awareness factor for 'Cache In - Trash Out' that I was trying to stress. Another bug with the same number will serve the purpose. Thanx "Give to a pig when it grunts and a child when it cries, and you'll have a fine pig and a bad child." -Proverb Quote Link to comment

You might want to wait two or three months before sending out the dup tag. If your original comes back to life, you won't know who is logging what if you use the dup tag. Just a suggestion.... +phat.bak
Yea, I know it hasn't been out of commission that long. I hadn't planned on releasing another copy for awhile. I'll wait to see if it comes back first. "Give to a pig when it grunts and a child when it cries, and you'll have a fine pig and a bad child." -Proverb Quote Link to comment
The Shorts
When one of my bugs went missing I went down to an army surplus store and had a dog tag made with the words travel bug and the tracking #. I did that so I would still have the copy incase I needed it. Justin Quote Link to comment
