  1. If it were me, i'd email a couple of "finders" on the off-chance (0.001%) that someone actually has it. Good thought.... however they are all in Europe
  2. If it's missing, maybe you could ask GS to lock it for you? Thanks I will do that....
  3. How do you stop people from "a discover" on a TB that has been missing for years. The log is bogus and I just delete them. It seems this activity has increased in recent months. Thanks for the help...
  4. This make more sense. I have had bugs "discovered" that I know do not exist. My bug numbers never were shown in any photo. Today I have had someone discovering my bugs... so I just delete the log.
  5. Having the same issue, I marked the page data and copied it to Word and then printed it. However, just the other day I did get some pages to print correctly. I have had this issue off and on for several months, like you when I am in a hurry I just try to get it done and run. so I failed to post the problem.
  6. Here is the profile for DRA a cacher from that area. He hides stuff that entails some pretty long hikes and just might have what you want. http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=a2...0f079a&ds=2
  7. click the geo-creations tab and look around http://www.geocities.com/team_fisur/
  8. We had that problem here with the caches near town..... the hider now makes them MOC and that stopped the problem. This is not intended to start that old argument, just explain what seemed to fix a problem.
  9. Here you go.... dropped 11-02 and just resurfaced http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=14600 These are rare though.
  10. That depends largely on the cacher. I've known some to keep their FTF and I've known others to delete it from their find count. Either way works. In my book, I won't lose respect for the cacher that keeps it because it is a legitimate find, but I will gain more respect for the cacher that doesn't. TotemLake you have great wisdom Also.... thanks to all that responded
  11. If a geocacher questions the validity of a cache and this causes the cache to be archived. Does your conscience tell you to delete your FTF log? Or does righteous have a limit?

  13. too busy scouting out the Southwest.... Seriously landscaped the yard this summer and will be that way one of these days... you guys out that way are putting out some nice stuff... take care
  14. We are going to Pflugerville in November and planning some caches on the way. When I looked up Perryton Tx for hotels, on their demographics page they list Geocaching as an attraction. Someone there is active... I did a pocket query on that zip for 55 miles, only trads with no micros and came up with 65 caches. Now for you urban dwellers..... that is a large number.
  15. With 986 caches in a 50 mile radius, the low geocache numbers are probably not the problem. Some like this crazy game and others don't..... know what they are missing.
  16. When I click on the Nebraska state map to zoom in and/or try to identify one of the caches... in lieu of the normal cache link at the bottom of the map I get this: Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046' Permission denied /map/maplib.asp, line 191 is there something missing in my software or is this a server problem? Thanks,
  17. Try I-cache it is a great way to keep a good log on your computer http://www.bigskycachers.com/
  18. Electric Mouse is most deserving of the hiking staff
  19. Here is the answer that is on GC site: Micro (35 mm film canister or smaller, typically containing only a logbook) But you already knew that....
  20. You didn't read the thread (at least past the first 2 posts...). But way to show some nice colors, there. Almost as charming as your OP... Don't get all wadded up.... it was a joke.
  21. Was it one of mine?? hope not as you recently logged several. I try to list the size as best as possible. let me know so I can look into it. Otherwise - where and who and what did you find?? Troy, Not yours. However one of yours we did was a tough, someone had buried it. When I see a match stick cylinder that can hold only a tightly rolled piece of paper and a stub pencil that is a micro and that is not subject to confusion. Contrary to some of the other posts. Take care and keep hiding....
  22. Do you really think this happens very often? It's not like the finder won't find out it's a micro... is there some cache hider out there blushing with embarassment everytime a cacher finds their cache? Or could it be possible that they just listed it incorrectly? Try sending the offender a friendly email. I've done it a couple of times on caches that were incorrectly listed. Both times, the user changed it and thanked me for pointing out the error. Not according to this thread. They are from Canada, those guys are confused about geocaching in general.
  23. A micro by any other name is still a micro. If you are embarrassed about hiding a micro so you list it as a small cache, don’t hide the thing. Be honest, there is absolutely NO confusion about what is a micro or not. This is not a rant against micro caches, we just think there should be truth in advertising / listing.
