When one of my bugs went missing I went down to an army surplus store and had a dog tag made with the words travel bug and the tracking #. I did that so I would still have the copy incase I needed it. Justin

I keep my eyes out for the newbies in the area and I have not heard of him either. If I see the bug or him I will let you know. I hate it when bugs get hijacked.

I always like The Shorts

Just to let you know there were 2 out there when I first started. One was a 5/5 and was stolen twice the other one was stolen once. It is a beautiful park that a lot of people go to and hike. If you are looking to place a cache out there I would recomend that you first talk to the rangers out there and see if they would even allow it to be hidden. They can also recomend a good spot for a cache. Justin

Decon - Waterproof containers ?
The Shorts replied to Maxine&Me's topic in General geocaching topics
I pick mine up for a buck a peice at a local Army surpluss store. They all had a rubber seal and they work great. I have been able to take off the stickers and put on my own custom made wp geocaching sticker. I get great reviews from them and I can hide them almost anywhere -
The person above me thinks he can save the day The person below me likes to trash in and cache out

To register for the event go to GP Geocaching.

I would go to GP Geocaching There are a few ideas there. In my area all we do is get the word out early by e-mail. Several people hid some temp caches and everyone had a great time. Our event was a pot luck picnic and trail clean-up.

Nebraskache Potluck Picnic is our CITO for anyone who wants to come.

I brought a new log book and some new ziplocks. I put everything in their own bag. Took Machette: (for my 4 yr old) and left Avatar (I think it was a geko with 360 on it)
