Only if the owner (not someone else) asks a reviewer, and the cache still meets the guidelines.

Archived caches cannot be transferred, and rarely will archived caches be unarchived for the purpose of adoption.

Quick! Get a location check done on the site, and reserve the spot for your own cache! I just did that myself last week. I'm ready, pending landowner permission.

Place a new cache and dedicate it to the memory of the previous one. You could even copy some of the description assuming you could get to the page which you can if you have found it previously.

'tis a shame sometimes to see an old classic get archived... our NW Ohio group NWOGEOkeeps a thread open for owners to give substantial notice when they plan to archive... also, we have an active group of cachers keeping their fingers on the pulse of those caches perhaps no longer served by their CO's, so that steps can be taken within the guidelines to keep it going...
