CominInHot
Ive narrowed it down to Garmin GPSMAP 62s or Oregon 450t. Debating on which to get...thoughts? Or maybe the Oregon 600t - REI is 20% full price items. So many choices!!! And.....GO Edited May 22, 2013 by CominInHot Quote Link to comment
Red90
The proper comparison is the 450 to the 62s (not the 450t). That is a personal choice. The 450 uses a larger touchscreen. The 62s buttons. They do exactly the same things so it is whether you want touchscreen or not. The 450 are much cheaper currently as they are being discontinued. A 600 is much newer and has more bells and whistles. +Lieblweb
We have both. Oregon is nice for the touch screen but can experience accidental touches. 62s had a brighter crisper screen and non-touch screen. Since we have both.... The Oregon screen looks aweful compared to the 62s. We like the 62 better. Quote Link to comment
BAMBOOZLE
We have both but like the 62S much better...I bought another 62S and now the 450 stays in the bag as backup. Quote Link to comment
torkel72
I have Oregeon 550, but if I could regret, I would buy the 62. I don't like the touch-screen very much. It's slow. Quote Link to comment
phlatlander
I replaced an Etrex Legend with a O550 and I much prefer the touch screen to the toggle. Works to at least -18c. To each his own. Quote Link to comment
torkel72
I have never had any beside the O550, so I would maybe regret to replace it then. Quote Link to comment
