Mike & Jess
Is it possible to adopt a trackable or reactivate? I have a reasonable collections of coins and other trackables that have never been in the wild, but have been activated (under my name) and Discovered at various events. I'd like to be able to sell and/or give them away as I have no more use for them. Is this possible, or should I just drop them off at a local thrift store? Quote Link to comment
Panther&Pine
Well you could release them into the wild. Adopt them over to someone who wants to get started with trackables. You could sell them, just let the person interested in them know (email sent). Or you could donate them I guess. Your choice. Quote Link to comment
Mike & Jess
Guess I had a bit of a brain fart. http://geocaching.com/adopt works for trackables as well as geocaches. Edited February 5, 2013 by Mike & Jess Quote Link to comment
Eartha
The link works for both. Just be aware that when selling your coins, the people who have discovered it sometimes get upset if the new owner deletes their logs. But it is the new owner's choice how they handle it. Quote Link to comment
Gitchee-Gummee
Along the lines of what MJS said... Send them out into the wild, with an INVITATION to anyone picking it (them) up to adopt them, if they so desire. I think this was fairly popular in the earlier days of geocaching.
