Missing trackables in Nelson

Have just visited a cache today only to find the geocoin missing. It's possible someone may have beaten me to it today but the log wasn't signed. I feel like I should say something as this is the forth trackable item that I've found removed from a geocache without being logged.

It happens a lot.

 

Many cachers don't log trackables out/into caches properly, either because they don't know how to, or because they just don't care much.

 

As redants suggests, post a note log on the trackable page saying "Not in Whatevername cache" and it's also helpful to put a similar note on the cache page too, so that the cache owner is aware that the item's not there. Both the trackable owner and the cache owner have the ability to mark the item as Missing and thus remove it from the cache inventory.

 

(If you want, you could put the trackable on your Watchlist to see whether it turns up somewhere else sometime.)

Yeah, I've been doing both of those and in a couple of cases emailing the owner. There's an event coming up in Feb so hopefully we can raise awareness there.
