schattentanz
I brought a bag of coins and tags on a plane from Düsseldorf to London, then to USA. The coins were in carry on, the geobag in checked in. I had 0 problems. Nobody wanted to even check more than the x-ray. Should be no problem, depending on what´s connected to the tb. +The Blorenges
A couple of years ago, flying RyanAir into Dublin, I had a small box containing about 20 geocoins in my hand luggage bag. At the scanners I was asked to show them what it was... Opened it up, showed coins, explained geocaching briefly, polite interest shown by the staff... waved through. MrsB Quote Link to comment
+speakers-corner
could be they might be grabbed by a security cacher at the airport (only joking), but apart from that they should go through OK. Have fun in Liverpool. Quote Link to comment
+NOSNOW
We have nevery had any problems with coins or TB traveling. In the US, I will normaly put my coin box (somewhere around 20 lbs or so) in a seperate tray to go through x-ray as they always need to go though it and if it's in the same tray with my bag belt and shoes, then I can't touch any until the TSA is done with all of it. I have had them look at every coin and some that just flip though and some just use the snifer. Last year in going from London to Germany I started to do the same thing, remove the box to place it by it self, and the person said don't bother, at the other end of the xray the person said he need to inspect the bag. He picked up the bag shaked it and then said good to go. I don't think you will have a problem, unless the TB is something that is normaly phohibited like a knive, gun or liquid over 3 oz. Have fun.
