+BBWolf+3Pigs
Was there a reason that they changed the "mini" map at the top right corner? It's a step backwards from what was there before. It barely gives me an idea of the general location. Can we go back to the way it was? +papaj83
Same with the travelbug map... Quote Link to comment
+Pointme2
Ditto what "BBWolf+3Pigs" said; the mini maps are totally useless now after the recent update. Please put them back the way they were! Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
Short answer: Google started charging for access, so Groundspeak moved to a free provider. Quote Link to comment

+The A-Team
But Google are the default map everywhere else........ But the one that loads the most often is the minimap at the top of cache pages. Just by replacing that one, they've significantly reduced the number of Google map loads. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other instances start to get changed, too. Google is giving sites 90 days before they start charging for overage, so I'm sure GS is keeping track of stats to determine how much they can keep. Quote Link to comment

It would take less then 350 memberships/ year to pay for the maps. Not that I care, I haven't looked at the mini-map in years. Edited January 19, 2012 by Downy288 Quote Link to comment

Did Groundspeak post how much this would tally? Edited January 20, 2012 by dakboy Quote Link to comment
