  1. Fingers crossed; it appears (so far) that last nights update has cured this problem! Let's hope it continues to work! NEVERMIND! SPOKE TO SOON... IT'S STILL NOT WORKING!
  2. I just tried it again (at 2:25 PM E.S.T.) and it's still not working. Tried opening from Windows Live mail (using a gmail address), as well as logging into gmail on the internet, and it still gave me the error code when clicking on the link to "Visit the traditional cache" from the email. I am able to click on the link to the Profile and that works, but nothing else. When clicking on the "Visit the log Entry", I get this message: Object moved to here. 3. Since yesterday morning, we're not able to link to a cache from any notification email coming from gc.com. Below is the error we get when clicking on the link for the cache. Same issue on 3 different computers. Links work on our cell phones. We've talked to a couple different cachers, and they're experiencing the same problem. Anyone else having this issue? Server Error in '/' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. Requested URL: /error/err.aspx
  4. Why in the world would anyone need this feature? When I do want to see recent activity that I've done, I don't want to have to page down below "recently viewed caches"! This is VERY annoying! Please get rid of it!
  5. Ditto what "BBWolf+3Pigs" said; the mini maps are totally useless now after the recent update. Please put them back the way they were!
  6. We too are experiencing problems with the advanced search excluding our finds and hides. Hopefully they will get to this glitch and fix it soon.
  7. I just noticed this morning that the "Preview" feature is back in the pocket queries; when I click on preview of any of my pocket queries, it initially shows "Green Lake Park" (where ever that is??!!!); if you wait about 5 seconds or so, it will go to a map showing all the caches in the pocket query you selected. It used to open up showing the closest cache in that query (since I created my pocket queries by zip codes), but now it's zoomed WAY out, showing all of the caches. I guess it's no big deal, you just need to zoom into where you want to look! Always a work in progress!!
  8. Ditto the above comment; There's no sense showing "my finds" or "my hides" in the list if I've removed them from the map. If you are "showing the numbers on the map", it is very confusing to have "My Finds or My Hides" still showing on the list! More importantly, why is the map so darn small? (what is this, the wide screen version like in HDTV's??) The map needs to be BIGGER!! I'm not overly fond of the borders around the cache icons, but if others prefer them, then leave it, but if you extend the map vertically down to the bottom of the window, that would be a big help! Upon further examination.... I just noticed that when I "preview" a pocket query (thanks for bringing the preview back in the queries!), that it does not show "my finds or my hides", but there are times that I just have a regular cache page open and just want to preview the google map from there, and it would be nice to have "my finds and my hides" off the list! Thanks for your ongoing hard work and support to create a quality map!

    New Site Bugs

Having the pictures (even thumbnails) show in the cache log takes much longer for the page to load. Whether it is a spoiler or not, it's not necessary to show pictures in the logs. If people are interested in the pictures taken at the cache, they can just visit the gallery. I've noticed some caches where people have taken so many pictures, and showing the thumbnails on the log causes the cache page itself to be much wider than normal. It would seem that this change will slow the system down even more. Good luck to those with dial up or cell phones trying to download pages with pictures!
  10. Just got a "reply" from Groundspeak on the icon problem: Hi there, We only post the images. They are provided to use by the creators of the coins. Eric Groundspeak Inc Hopefully the problem will work itself out.
  11. We noticed that problem too; last week the Snow Wolf icon showed up as a pumpkin! (yikes!) Maybe it's a Halloween prank! We wrote to Groundspeak in hopes that they can get to the bottom of the problem... haven't heard anything yet! Let's hope it gets resolved.... but in the mean time, we'd rather see an "X" in the icon area instead of a pumpkin!
  12. While the new maps are nice to look at, and great to see the surrounding caches, I don't like that I cannot print the map (as I used to with the Mapquest map). For those of us who are still not "paperless", we must rely on printing out maps to get us to there. This is a MAJOR problem for me. I used to just right click and copy the map, then paste it in a blank word document, then resize it to whatever size I needed. Is there any way that option can be added to these maps???????? Also, it should come up showing the nearby caches and mark the ones I've already found. I shouldn't have to go in and "bookmark, delete or whatever". I understand change is good and bad, but when I can't print out where I need to go... that's bad! (now I'll have to open another browser, go to Mapquest, input the coordinates and go from there.... more work!) Hopefully this new mapping program will have some future improvements that may resolve this.
