MOCKBA
Nearest marker page doesn't show any found date / found status for a BM ( http://www.geocaching.com/mark/nearest.asp?origin_lat=40.45951355&origin_long=-112.626320975 for http://www.geocaching.com/mark/details.asp?PID=LP0457 ) How it happened: first the BM was logged as found, but the find wasn't valid by today's standarts (only RM disk found). Then a not-found entry was added. Then the original 'found' log was deleted. Now, even though a 'not-found' log is still there, nothing shows up at the search page. Link to comment
+Lil Devil
If the found log was deleted, then the BM is not found, thus no found date on the search page. Sounds like exactly the way its supposed to work to me. Lil Devil Link to comment
+Marky
It looks like it's working as designed to me. Neat history on Deseret. I had never heard of it before. Interesting stuff. --Marky "All of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer with a backlit GPSr" Link to comment

Sounds like exactly the way its supposed to work to me. But instead of a date then, there should be a purplish sad face icon on the search page. Look e.g. at LP0068 at the same search page http://www.geocaching.com/mark/nearest.asp?origin_lat=40.45951355&origin_long=-112.626320975 It also got a single log entry, also 'not found', and you can surmise just that from the search page. The situation is quite different for LP0457. This one looks as if it has never been visited at all on the search page. That's *not* how it is supposed to work. Link to comment
+rogbarn
Yes, I see what you mean. It certainly looks like a bug. I have a benchmark that I logged by mistake (meant to log a different one) so I deleted the log. It still shows up when I show all benchmarks that I have found from my profile stats page even though there are no geocaching logs on it at all. I suspect there are other annoying little creatures lurking about the benchmarking pages. Hopefully when the benchmarking section floats to the top of Jeremy's priority list, they can all be found and squashed. Along with some nice improvements. Link to comment
+gnbrotz
There is also presently another problem which needs addressed promptly: Bulk downloads from the "search results page" are failing. It either locks up, or kicks back to the main benchmarking page. This has been occuring for over 24 hours now. It'd be nice to have this fixed for the weekend! +gnbrotz
All fixed now. Thanks Jeremy for the response (in the BM forum). Greg N 39 54.705' W 77 33.137' Link to comment
