+Mopar
You forgot the 3rd choice: Couldn't give a #$%^ what the silly icon is, as long as each cache type has one I can figure out. Tae-Kwon-Leap is not a path to a door, but a road leading forever towards the horizon. Link to comment
+sbell111
I'll go with Mopar's third choice. I could care less what the icon looks like, as long as I know what it means. Link to comment
+RuffRidr
I like them the way they are now. I'd say just leave them as is and let people get used to the already new ones. --RuffRidr Link to comment
+Scout Master
I’m just saying The ammo can is a more universally recognized symbol for a GEOCACHE We'll See ya on the Trail Link to comment
+infosponge
Anything is better than an empty cookie jar. I can't figure out what that has to do with geocaching...unless mom & dad were too busy geocaching to go to the grocery store so the cookie jar is empty? http://www.tampabaygeocaching.com Link to comment

As far as universially accepted? While nobody can argue that there in no better cache container, in my caching experience (close to 300 finds once I log them all, covering 5-6 east coast states), maybe 10-15% of them have been ammo cans. I tend to agree with the Chrysler parts man on this one... Of the 44 caches that I have found, 29 with cache containers, only 2 have been Ammo boxes. I like the ammo box, but they are not the most common container out there. Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves. Henry David Thoreau Link to comment
