+W4G_SOTAGoat
I have a database with about 3500 entries. When I export to a .GPX file, no child waypont info is exported in the main cache WPT record. GSAK shows the child waypoints of caches, but the .GPX file has none of the info listed in the main record. The long_description stops short of the additional waypoint info. The <WPT> record is there for the additional waypoint(s), but they can't be referenced from the original cache long_description. So, there may be additional waypoints but when I pull the description up on my Montana 650, no where are they listed. A GS.COM PQ shows the correct information. Yes, I have "Include Additional Child Waypoints" set to "yes". Anyone else having these issues? Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
I believe that GSAK writes those additional waypoints as waypoints. On your GPS hit find and then waypoints. Quote Link to comment
+eusty
They should have the same name as the cache depending on their use. The parking for GC12345 will be PK12345 etc Quote Link to comment
+yorelken
On GSAK,I edit the waypoint to '"cache name" parking' instead of the GC number. Helps to keep the parking straight. When I download to my Oregon 450, it shows the parking with a cache icon, and the actual caches as little, I guess, tupperware boxes. I have never played around with this set up. +W4G_SOTAGoat
I saw that it exports them as waypoints, but if you are paperless, there is no indication in the cache description there are additional waypoints. In a pq, additional waypoints are listed at the bottom of the description. Not so in a GSAK export. Quote Link to comment
