+Tony & Marie
We recently bought a Garmin GPSMAP 62s Devise. We previously (and still have) had a Garmin etrex Venture HC where you were able to delete Geocaches after you found them, or delete if you no longer wanted to find them. On the new devise, we seem to not be to delete found caches or ones we no longer want to attempt. Does anyone know how to do that. There are no instructions on how this can be done. Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment

+humboldt flier
Have to do it while connected to computer. Mac & P.C. have different procedures. Go to My Garmin.com > Frequently Asked Questions > How do I delete GPX files from my mass storage device? Instructions are outlined there. Plug your device intp computer. After it is recognized Click windows start button Double click (MY) computer Double click the Garmin device drive Double click the Garmin folder Double click THE GPX FOLDER Select the GPX files you wish to delete ( RIGHT click ) Press delete on the ( LEFT click ) ***************** NOTE **************** ONLY DELETE THE GPX FILES !!!!!!!!!!! deleting the wrong files may turn your unit into an expensive door stop. Disconnect unit in the usual SAFE MANNER for device disconnect. Quote Link to comment
+ecanderson
There are no instructions on how this can be done. Garmin's manuals are awfully vague in a lot of areas these days. Your question comes up about once a week here. Details at this link => http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=280953&st=0&p=4833814entry4833814 and that Wiki you've been pointed to is nearly mandatory reading. Quote Link to comment
+luvvinbird
I like the "mass storage device" feature of the Oregon and the 62s (I use both). It's very simple to copy/paste PQ's and erase cache entries no longer required. Just make sure you follow instructions and "eject" properly. Quote Link to comment
