Just wondering, as we're new to all this, is is there a term for people who set out to find a cache, don't find it and rather than log it as not finding it, don't submit any entry. Hope that question makes sense

Welcome :)

Yes, your question makes sense. No, there isn't a special term for those "non finders". :D

Generally cachers are encouraged to log DNFs, even when they're very new to the game. It's part of your record of Being A Geocacher and it's fun to look back on them later when you'll be able to say, "Wow. I remember that one. How could we have missed that?!"

LOL. I'll go with being called a DRIP.

However in my case it would be "IDIOT" ( I Didn't Invest Optimum Time )

If I don't feel that I've searched long enough to earn a DNF...I'll wait for another day to give it all I've got before I log my frownie face. LOL.

Welcome!

Please, please log your DNFs. We all have them.

What happens if you don't, the cache owner will not know there may be a problem. After 2 DNFs, sometime 1, I'll make a trip to check if it's missing.
