+splashy
Newer topo's seem to routate, maybe that's what you mean? I doubt they have all the city and street data like a 'normal' CN map. Edited August 27, 2011 by splashy Quote Link to comment
+michaelnel
If you are talking about the Garmin GPSMap 62st, then it has the typically crappy 100K Garmin topos built in. They are missing lots of trails, and do not do autorouting. They don't have nearly the roads and POIs that the City Navigator maps have though. You'd be better off just getting the GPSMap 62s (not the st) and then loading topo maps from gpsfiledepot.com and routeable streetmaps from garmin.openstreetmaps.nl. +Walts Hunting
100k USA maps do not route. If it truly has Cn as you said it will route on then. Quote Link to comment
+Cacheoholic
Sounds like you’re looking at a used GPS? A Garmin GPSMAP62st? The Garmin GPSMAP62st comes with 100k topo maps preinstalled. These maps may or may not autoroute, depends on what country they are for. The “+city nav” are Garmin City Navigator maps which are separate, purchased, street detail maps that do autoroute. City Navigator is updated 4 times a year so find out which version it has. The latest version is 2012.20 for North America. It looks like you are down under so confirm what country the maps are for. +splashy
As I said, newer Topo's DO routate, but it's not the same as a CN map. Quote Link to comment
