+BrixingtonPaddler
It sounds like an odd question, where is the fun in finding your own hides, but can it be done? Thanks Quote Link to comment
+sword fern
Technically, yes, but it is considered bad form to do it. Quote Link to comment
+sword fern
What I mean is its bad form to log a find online on your cache just to increase your numbers. Quote Link to comment
+BrixingtonPaddler
Thought as much, I did think at one point that hiding one put your number up anyway, think I logged another at the same time to think that One thing I wont be doing then, its just not cricket Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
You have to find your cache so you can carry out maintenance. Logging it as 'Found'? Not really the done thing. However, some cachers after finding a cache locally -set by another cacher- and logging a Found, may at a later date Adopt the cache. They are then shown as the owner... With a Found log on the cache. Quote Link to comment
savant9
I have "found" only 2 of my own caches, although at the time of the find I didnt own them: I later adopted them. As mentioned it is considered bad form to do so, however some people do, I won't. Quote Link to comment
+popokiiti
I am listed as a co-owner on a cache and even though I wasn't there when it was placed and had to find it, I still felt awkward logging it online. I had no idea where it was, and only went to find it after a couple of DNFs. It is the only time I have done it and won't again. My own cache hasn't been "found" by me, nor will it or any others I may place. That is the way I play the game, if others want to do it differently, that's fine. Quote Link to comment
+GeoBain
Yes you can find your own hides. You can even post find logs on them but most players discourage the practice. Quote Link to comment
