+HEADLANDERS
This may sound a trivial question, but I can't find the answer: I want to change my Geocaching[dot]com username so that all the letters are 'upper case'. However, when I try to change the username it reports that the username is already in use. Is there a way to do this?. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Have you read here? http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=115 If a username already exists and has ever been validated, or the username has been used in any way, then the username is not available. Sounds like it's a 'No' unless you contact GS themselves to ask if they can change it. (You could try a different spelling, eg Head-Landers.) Quote Link to comment
+Ambient_Skater
(You could try a different spelling, eg Head-Landers.) Geocaching.com usernames aren't case sensitive, so Headlanders and HEADLANDERS can't exist at the same time as two separate members. The website doesn't realize you're changing the capitalization of your name, it thinks you're entering the same name, which of course is already in use (by you). You'll have to email contact@Groundspeak.com and get them to change it for you. Quote Link to comment

+dfx
You can change your name to something random, let's say asdfghjklqwertyuizxcvbnm, and then change it back, using the right capitalization. Quote Link to comment

But since Groundspeak lackeys aren't limited to one name change, they can do both steps for you. Quote Link to comment

However as an experiment I changed one of my socks to a new name and was able to change it back without poking the frog. Quote Link to comment
