EKFergie
I posted on the photo competition thread earlier but thought it's about time I added my own post to say hi! I've been geocaching since last year and would say I'm pretty addicted - my partner even proposed to me geocaching!! I started using the iphone app and have recently got myself an eXplorist GC which I'm slowly getting used to. I placed my first cache last week - was very excited when I got the email to say that it had been published. Needless to say I can't wait to place some more and get out to some more new places hunting! Quote Link to comment

The Blorenges
Occasionally we get stories in these forums of proposals at caches so I hope yours was at a nice location - Did you mention it in any logs? Back before Christmas I heard through a third party that a cacher was going to pop the question at one of our puzzle caches but we never heard any more about it... Welcome MrsB Quote Link to comment
Unobtainium
Welcome to the gang. You could get married at a cache too, I've heard that there are one or two church micro dotted around the country. Quote Link to comment
Fianccetto
Nice to (virtually) meet you! I envy you your location up in Scotland. Thought at first you might be local to us here as someone placed an engagement cache near here last year. Quote Link to comment
EKFergie
Thanks all for the welcome. The proposal was at a train station and there wasn't an actual cache there but my fiance had been out the day before to various cache sites and placed things in them that eventually spelt out what he was asking - the final spot he was down on one knee. I didn't get the other bit till he said to me later on that day! I was delighted to find a cache situated on the hill looking over the church that we're getting married in and may have to get my fiance to drop a GC on the day! I've mostly done just caches that are local to me but I can't go out for a walk these days without finding somewhere that we can hunt - we have a dog so it's a good excuse for finding new places to go.
