+W7WT Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 $80, yikes. Sounds fun though! That sounds reasonable. Our grandaughter is a Heli ski guide at Valdez and they charge $923 for a single day 6 runs. Quote

The maintenance is even higher for helicopters. $80 is very reasonable. Quote
eseurat Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I'm interested, but I can't find anything, other than the facebook page, for the 2011 WSGA Campout, is there going to be an event page and which cache are you planning to fly to? Quote
+Shop99er Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I'll have to think about this. A long time ago, my brother and I were talking about renting a chopper and staging "Operation Scooby Drop" to get a particular cache. While that didn't happen, this might be a good alternative. Quote
+TeamIDFC Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I can't seem to find the target cache - has it been placed yet? Quote

Here is the event page http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=f6fadf66-e126-42ea-9d51-b4ff4d594b30 I can't seem to find the target cache - has it been placed yet? The target cache will not be published until that weekend. When the weather gets a little better we are going to go place it and take some video and upload it to youtube. After the event we will help Kiwi Air set up a few other cache flights for some longer trips if people have the money. The cache will be called Fantasy Island. Yes just like the TV show from when I was a kid. Here is a pic of the island we will be flying to. Quote
+ZeroHecksGiven Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I think my comment was more towards $80 for a cache/coin, than towards the cost of maintaining/flying a helicopter. Just the general cost of having a good time is on the rise. Though, being it's on a river, looks like it might be a fun float and grab Quote
