+Redfist
I'm going to do some caching in WA state at the end of the month and wanted to get opinions on which map to load onto my Oregon 450. For Arizona, the choice was pretty easy - one of the TOPOs had an editor's choice mark on gpsfiledeopt.com so I went for it. For WA state, none of the free maps have such a mark (except for the planimetric map). If you are a WA state geocacher going to caches either in Seattle/Redmond area OR by Mission 9 (project APE), what map would you recommend? Thanks... Quote Link to comment
+ecanderson
Looking through the list, probably this one for a topo: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/view/95/ understanding that any road data that has changed in the last couple of years will be out of date. Quote Link to comment

That one has some issues that the map author never fixed. Have a look at this one: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/view/412/ Edited March 7, 2011 by coggins Quote Link to comment
+Dgwphotos
You might find Northwest Trails helpful if you are using Garmin, and there's a Delorme version, as well (I don't have the link handy). Quote Link to comment
snowfleurys
Or use the combination of the US Planimetric plus the Washington contour mapset. Quote Link to comment
+bobva
Hello newbie Sorry about the DQ but are these DL's for maps free? Thank you Bob Quote Link to comment
MtnHermit
In my experience, you get what you pay for, that's certainly true for Colorado maps. All the free maps aren't worth my time, missing rivers, almost no trails, incomplete public lands areas. So I predominately use the Above the Timber topos, with occasional use of Garmin's 24Ks. Have a look at their Washington 24Ks, cost nothing to download the sample maps and compare. Quote Link to comment

This one is a no brainer. As well as the Northwest Topos. Moun10bike has done some great work on this set. Quote Link to comment
