Pup Patrol Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) Have you checked out Toporama? http://atlas.nrcan.gc.ca/site/english/maps/topo/map Or Acme Mapper? (I haven't done much with this one.) http://mapper.acme.com/ You might want to check out the MNR Crown Land Use Atlas, too. http://crownlanduseatlas.mnr.gov.on.ca/ Edited October 17, 2010 by Pup Patrol Quote
BATracker Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Go to http://www.ibycus.com/ibycustopo/IbycusTopo32.iso.torrent The link requires a BitTorrent client to use - it won't open in your web browser. This is a free topo mapset for all of Canada and should install on your GPS without problem Quote

+Viajero Perdido Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 The earlier Ibycus Topo 2.2 has more trail detail than the current 3.2, at least out west. The most detailed maps might be the Backroad Mapbook series, but they're far from free. There's another thread around here comparing the two in more detail. Quote
notme76 Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 anyone using any of the topo maps from any of the torrent site's ....just curiuos how thats working out Quote
BATracker Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 anyone using any of the topo maps from any of the torrent site's ....just curiuos how thats working out I use the Ibycus maps pretty regularily and find them quite good. I do agree that 2.2 seems to have more 'backwoods' trails than 3.2 for some reason. Quote
+Team Zingaman Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I'm looking for Canadian (Ontario) maps for a Lowrance Out & Back GPS. I think I might be screwed! I bought it on ebay for a good price, but Maps seem to be a problem. Can anyone help me with this???? Quote
+Tequila Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 TRAK makes a Garmin compatible Ontario topo that is 1:10,000 which is the most detailed I have seen. It is available at Radioworld and other stores. Quote
