Hi All,

So I dont understand these at all. I have been looking at this one for a while. What am I supposed to do?

Can anyone provide any help? Many Thanks!

Please don't think I am being caddy, but the idea is to solve it. Many times the individual who creates and posts a puzzle cache does not want to give any additional hints or clues. They intend for the puzzle to by solved individually. You may contact the CO and see if he is willing to assist in any way. DON"T ask him to solve it for you though!

Hope this does not come across wrong as it is not intended to. I have some puzzle caches that I have been working on for quite awhile and am still at the beginning--a seeming deadend with no clue. Ha! Keep working on it and it may just pop out with an AH Ha moment.

Happy Caching,

CWGRIZZ

A while back, The Rat offered a puzzle-solving class as an event cache. His slides are available here:

http://thegba.net/resources/general_information.php

Among the tips he offered:

Identify the theme. Check the cache title, the hint, the HTML source, the graphics (including names/URLs), any links (including URLs), whatever is at the posted coordinates, etc. If you can figure out the theme, then you should look for numbering systems that are associated with that theme (zip codes, area codes, telephone keypads, episode numbers, etc.).

Around here, coordinates will have 15 digits, and will look like "N 37° xx.xxx W 122° xx.xxx". So when I'm solving a nearby puzzle, I look for a group of 15 things, and then I look for ways to get the digits 37xxxxx122xxxxx from them. In general, I look for ways to get the number 37 (or the digits 3 and 7) from something near the beginning of the puzzle, and the number 122 (or the digits 1, 2, and 2) from something near the middle of the puzzle. (Of course, you'll need to adjust this for the coordinates near you.)

That Cache Owner seems to be offering help. Many COs do, and although I don't email to ask them, some even message me with a huge hint when I post a DNF where they realize how clueless I am. And one of those caches was a traditional (no actual puzzle to solve).

Caches that prove to be an utter mystery are placed on the back burner. I'll look at them sometime later, to see if I have any inspiration. I've been working on some for over a year, and some of those have only "Found It" logs about how super-easy they are to find.

I have no idea about your example cache, so I'd skip it (not suggesting you do that). But if I got an email from a caching buddy asking if I'd solved it yet, I'd put my brain cell to work on it -- because I know that message is a code for "It's real easy for even kunarion to solve". :anicute:
