Bashaw
I'll be in London (including Kew Gardens & Greenwich), Bath, St Ives, Penzance, & Cardiff in September. Would some of you be kind enough to point me to caches that are extra cool? We like unusual containers, caches that teach history, ones which have an interesting reason to exist, and fun puzzles - I'm not fond of puzzles so some of the really hard ones don't interest me Thanks in advance!! +redsox_mark
When you come to Bath... All These caches combine unusual containers with some fun puzzles; they are in and around the village of Box about 5 miles from Bath. Within Bath itself, Bath Tours (1, 2, and 3) and Roamin' Bath (1, 2, 3, and 4) are good for history and seeing the city. They don't have the unusual containers and surprises of the Box caches though. +The Blorenges
Not far from St Ives - a trad Kernow I - A scramble down some iron rungs to get "up close and personal" with an historic Cornish tin mine (plus a possible bonus of seeing rare Cornish choughs in the area). If you want more historical information about the area and tin mining there's good multi nearby - "Fool's Gold Rush". MrsB PS Can I ask how long you'll have down in Penzance/St Ives area? A flying visit to each, or a few days? Edited August 16, 2010 by The Blorenges Quote Link to comment
+*mouse*
Hello Bashaw, What dates are you in Penzance? Reason I ask is that there is an event down there on 18th September wich you might like to come along too. Camping not neccessary - day visitors welcome to pop over Saturday afternoon/evening to join in. West Indian Summer Camp Quote Link to comment
Bashaw
Thanks for your suggestions, we'll check out those caches. We will be in Penzance at that time, thanks a ton for pointing it out, sounds like fun!! Quote Link to comment
+*mouse*
Cool = see you there Now I shall have to have a rummage through my TB bag and see if anything is US bound!! Quote Link to comment
+abanazar
If you're going to stay in the centre of Bath itself, my favourite cache within walking distance (about 10mins from the train station) is An Old Line. There is a little history attached (nothing like the main Bath tourist trail caches though), but mostly this one is about having fun Quote Link to comment
+Pickers
GC1AGGD . This is certainly a different cache. Quote Link to comment
