Oregon 300 Basemap

Accidentally deleted the basemap that comes with the Garmin Oregon 300.

Is there a way to get it back? Maybe a full reload or something? I have lots of maps available but for some reason I like to have that one loaded as well.

 

Anyone know where to find one or care to share theirs?

Try to contact Garmin? If they're unwilling or unable to help, send me an email.

Did the same thing on my 400. Ended up sending it to Garmin. The file is very large so they will not send it by email . When I got it back I promptly made a copy on my computer.

are you guys talking about the actual basemap? or the map that comes included with the T models?

 

cause i find the actual basemap to be really useless and not much better than having no map at all...

OP said "basemap that came with the 300". Since the 300 doesn't come with the topo maps, I take it he really meant the basemap.

 

I agree it is useless. But at least it gives you a basic display when you're in an area where you don't have maps.
